autoBasement.ash - Better basement automation

1) I'm not sure why you care about this. Once you set those values high, they shouldn't be resetting. I think the idea is to abort at the lowest level someone might want to abort at, then they can raise that level for their own personal tastes.

2) You might apply this patch to svn/winterbay-mafia-autobasement/scripts/autoBasement.ash

However, I understand not everyone is comfortable with that.

I got that the script I thought I need to HP buff, but I can't figure out why so much for 3000 damage.

At least it's doing something... once I get to level ~200 it tries maximizing for resist, sees that it won't work, maximizes HP, still doesn't work, and aborts. If I go back to the resist outfit, I can cast cocoon and I'll pass with flying colors. It seems it doesn't know how to heal.

I keep failing elemental tests because the script never switches to the parrot. Any ideas what might cause this?

What I'm seeing on the elemental tests is that it runs the maximizer (i'm too low level to have outfits cached), but before executing the equipment change, checks and fails the HP, then stops. If you click on the Maximizer tab, Equip All, then you can pass the elemental test (because you're completely overbuffed from trying to make HP w/o any resistance).

The same thing is happening on the stat tests that want to equip the disembodied hand. The maximizer string is again, correct but not executed, and after the program stops, if you click on Equip All, the disembodied hand is properly switched and the result passes the test.

I need to look at this. Unfortunately I have no time (work is really busy and wife is working evenings so I need to look after the kid). However if anyone can find a good solution I'll make sure to check it in :)

I don't know if they changed the tradability factor of the herbs, but since they can't be traded anymore, I'm not sure what to do here. Maybe someone who knows how to code might fix this?

Cheers.

I have fixed at least one bug relating to the elemental tests. They are probably not 100% great but they are at least better :)

Any chance we could add a 4th matcher to the combat_stat matcher up at the top?
Code:
	case "i":	combat_stat = my_primestat(); break;

Winterbay

Active member
Sure, but what word would you suggest to use together with that? "prime" has the i as the third letter while the script looks for the second letter.

Theraze

Active member
*coughs* Right. So "R" for primestat then? There was some other matcher that used the third letter and I just mentally slipped.

Edit: And... muS and myS have the same third letter, so... no clue what I was thinking about. Ugh.

Crimbo-autoBasement request two: Any chance MPDrain can NOT avoid moxie magnet if we're a moxie class? That makes it significantly more expensive to pass the tests after floor 400 for my AT. :)

For that matter, not entirely sure why we force-avoid that when we maximize, since it would only use that if it maximizes out as an improvement...

Edit: Guessing that the avoid is because if we boost myst, we know that it will raise mp as well. If we boost moxie, it may or may not raise mp based on whether we have the magnet or trousers. But... it does make me fail a moderate number of later tests that I can manually maximize through, just like how I haven't hit an elemental test yet that didn't pass after a 100* on the two elementals and 1* on hp. But that's a different matter. :)

Good question. I'll see if I can get some time ti look at it.
My character was at level 350 or so when I started my latest bout of testing and so thete were a limited amount of elemental tests to test on and the current code worked relatively well for those but maybe adding an hp-part tonthe first maximisation could be somehing to think about.

Hey guys, a really basic question. What level should I be when I run this script? I did one basement run years ago and I think I clovered up to level 25 or so before starting my run. Is that still necessary?

Thanks!

Magus_Prime

The short answer is: the lower the character level the more expensive the buffs. It's a trade-off.

I normally started after reaching level 15 or higher, took a break when things became too expensive, then resumed the run after hitting level 20.
