Winterbay's Helpful Automatic Monsterbasher (WHAM)

Aah, I'd wondered why it never uses Fire Death Ray, even in combats where one spell if just barely less than a 1-shot. Are there any other free 1-round stuns to add to this list? Fire Death Ray is skill 7150.
 
I've had WHAM use fire death ray, but then I think it did it as a combat finisher rather than as a stun of any kind.

I suspect that WHAM interacts incorrectly with blacklisted items, because I have neither of these things:

Ok, I am not sure if I should ask here, in the BatBrain Thread or even the SmartStasis one. It all seem to blend into one...

1) I was wondering if WHAM was taking advantage of Disco Combo and Sauce synergy? (not necessarily in the same combat)

2) Today, against a gremlin, WHAM Blend+Grill it where he could have Blend+Curdle+Freeze. Is it because it doesnt know how long the blend is for and doesnt take chance so go for one-hit?

As the error message says, it's a SmartStasis problem. If you were in the SmartStasis thread you'd see that your advice is to edit SmartStasis and remove "the " from line 334. Because zarqon is a butt-head.

I'm not sure why it's using Moxious Manoveur here to kill off monsters when I can definitely plink them to death. I ran it on a verbosity of 9 to see what the hell was happening but still don't get it.

I'm not sure why it's using Moxious Manoveur here to kill off monsters when I can definitely plink them to death. I ran it on a verbosity of 9 to see what the hell was happening but still don't get it.

Sadly, level 9 doesn't list all the other choices evaluated and their cost. Level 10 does. Still, I did notice one thing.
Are you using Bale's recovery script? That's a very very low cost for MP. I'm currently in aftercore using MMJ at level 22 for MP and my cost is 2.63μ, although I've seen prices as low as .5μ.

Would this script use Flavour of Magic if using spells?

You could pick an element that wouldn't cause problems during your aftercore or ascension, and then cast it...since it is basically a toggle now.

I use Spirit of Peppermint pretty much all my HC run because I don't fight many cold based monsters.

If you have Immaculate Seasoning permed, and fight a cold based monster with spirit of peppermint up, the script should decide not to use pasta spells and use sauce spells instead (assuming it's picking spells for killing) since the sauce spells would align hot (since cold would do 1 damage) and then you'll still get the bonus damage computed in, since it doesn't tune sauce spells.

Yeah... this appears to be something related to the new BatBrain causing WHAM to not complete in certain circumstances. It happens consistently for me when backfarming the wet stew for the level 11 quest. Though I can one-hit the monsters in Whitey's Grove using curdle, WHAM still aborts. Didn't with ASCII1, but ASCII2 and 3 make it fail. :(
 
I use Spirit of Peppermint pretty much all my HC run because I don't fight many cold based monsters.

If you have Immaculate Seasoning permed, and fight a cold based monster with spirit of peppermint up, the script should decide not to use pasta spells and use sauce spells instead (assuming it's picking spells for killing) since the sauce spells would align hot (since cold would do 1 damage) and then you'll still get the bonus damage computed in, since it doesn't tune sauce spells.

I just ran in to the issue as well and am looking into it. It appears that when the monster HP gets low enough (predicted or real) WHAM removes all options as being too risky. I'm not sure what changed to make this happen though...
