Talking about mafia counting adventures: Currently reviving into a combat increments the turns_spent proxy record of a location.
(I noticed this because it causes Ezandora's Guide delay tracking to go wonky)
Similarly, the "Like a Bat out of Hell" (when you go to the underworld) and "Underworld Body Shop" choice adventures are currently added to that location's noncombat_queue.

It looks much the same -- in fact, exactly the same -- as all the other aisles, but as you walk down it, you can feel the Holy MacGuffin's presence calling out to you. You start to walk more quickly, homing in on yet another shelf stacked with crates.

To hell with stealth. You start tearing open crates and throwing them behind you, filling the aisle with splintered fragments of wood, ancient gold idols, and reels of microfilm. As you smash open the final crate, a warm golden light pours out of it. You pick up the Holy MacGuffin with a long, slow sigh, and the tension you hadn't even realized you'd been carrying dissolves and flows away. You feel reborn, and not in your usual "coming back to life" sense.

You look around, half-expecting a final boss to pop out for one last fight, but there's only an annoyed-looking janitor glaring at the mess you've made. A bit anticlimactic perhaps, but then you've already beaten up the one person who really deserved it.

Standing as tall and proud as you ever did when you were Pharaoh, you stride toward the warehouse exit. Time to make one last report to Amun, and then take the Holy MacGuffin back home where it belongs.

You acquire an item: Holy MacGuffin

Adventure Again (The Secret Council Warehouse)
Go back to Mt.

"I did indeed do that," you say, sounding rather pleased with yourself.

"Can I, um… Can I see it?"

You glance around to make sure you're alone, then show the MacGuffin to Amun. He gives a low whistle.

"It's beautiful," he says, in awe. "…Er, what is it, exactly?"

"It's something for you to not ask questions about."

"I understand, boss," he nods.

Sensing his disappointment, you sigh. "Look, Amun… you're a good dude, and you did a hell of a job, so I'll let you in on a secret. I don't actually know what this thing is."

Amun blinks, surprised. "Really?"

"Yeah. Look, you know how I was ticked at those three morons that lost the pieces of my Staff? Because they had one job, and they screwed it up? Well, looking after this thing is my one job. The Holy MacGuffin -- I'm the one that gave it that silly name, because I haven't got a damn clue what's so important about it. Only that it is very, very important."

"I see. Do you think you'll ever find out, boss?"

"Beats me," you shrug. "Anyway, I'd better get it back to my tomb. Thanks for your help, Amun." The two of you shake hands. "Good luck with… er, whatever it is you do when I'm not around."

I feel like there should be a link to the [council] when I get the Holy McGuffin. Just sayin'

When did you see that? Was it before Veracity fixed the acquisition code, but after launch of Ed? It wouldn't have worked during that time. This has disappeared from the non-ed version too.
Added r15491Here's all three of the MP restorer buffs:
# <your winged yeti> wingedyeti.gif BOSS HP: 250 Atk: 120 Def: 108 Init: 50 E: cold P: beast
# <you> the Adventurer BOSS Atk: 240 Def: 210 HP: 900 Init: 150 P: dude
Plus mafia would need to recognize them when they are encountered.
Hopefully that can be done based on the image.
Not for <you> the Adventurer. That has the same image as your previous, non-Ed, ascension.
Maybe we just check for 6 different images this time.
There are other multi-image monsters that we handle just fine. I don't know what any of the image names are in this case to know how straightforward that is here. Maybe we just check for 6 different images this time.
No it doesn't. Every time I've fought this monster, it has been a male adventurer. Of course, the text makes it clear that it is a "he" - although that has never been true of my main (except one stretch of Sleazy Surgeries, when I was going after a trophy). I have never, ever, ascended as a male character. Not for <you> the Adventurer. That has the same image as your previous, non-Ed, ascension.
