New Content - Implemented New path "Actually Ed the Undying"

Ran into this today, i had thought that these had been coded in, there is 1 effect gained for each of the three MP restores Ed has.

Code:
use 1 spirit beer
You gain 94 Mana Points
You acquire an effect: Spiritually Aware (duration: 10 Adventures)
--------------------
1803	Spiritually Aware	beerbottle.gif	34152bd6bbb2e9988f5d1c243404393c
# Effect:Spiritually Aware: 5-7 MP regeneration per turn
--------------------

Talking about mafia counting adventures: Currently reviving into a combat increments the turns_spent proxy record of a location.

(I noticed this because it causes Ezandora's Guide delay tracking to go wonky)

Similarly, the "Like a Bat out of Hell" (when you go to the underworld) and "Underworld Body Shop" choice adventures are currently added to that location's noncombat_queue.

Both of these are fixed as of 15485. I think monster stat tracking probably needs work still for coming back to the fight, but that's hard to test with Manuel.

I feel like there should be a link to the [council] when I get the Holy McGuffin. Just sayin'

Here's the html for that momentous occasion.
HTML:
<body><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif' id='dragged'><div id='debug'></div><div class=contextmenu id='skillmenu'></div><div class=contextmenu id='itemsmenu'></div><div id=topbar><center><table class=actionbar cellpadding=0 cellspacing=1><tbody><tr class=label><td> </td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class=blueback><td><a href='adventure.php?snarfblat=437'><img src='/images/itemimages/plexpock.gif'></td><td class=spacer></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif' id='skills'></td><td class=spacer></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td><td class=spacer></td><td class=spacer></td><td><img src='/images/itemimages/blank.gif'></td></tr><tr class=label><td>again</td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></tbody></table></center></div><div class='content' id='content_'><div id='effdiv' style='display: none;'></div><div style='overflow: auto;'>

It looks much the same -- in fact, exactly the same -- as all the other aisles, but as you walk down it, you can feel the Holy MacGuffin's presence calling out to you. You start to walk more quickly, homing in on yet another shelf stacked with crates.
<p>
To hell with stealth. You start tearing open crates and throwing them behind you, filling the aisle with splintered fragments of wood, ancient gold idols, and reels of microfilm. As you smash open the final crate, a warm golden light pours out of it. You pick up the Holy MacGuffin with a long, slow sigh, and the tension you hadn't even realized you'd been carrying dissolves and flows away. You feel reborn, and not in your usual "coming back to life" sense.
<p>
You look around, half-expecting a final boss to pop out for one last fight, but there's only an annoyed-looking janitor glaring at the mess you've made. A bit anticlimactic perhaps, but then you've already beaten up the one person who really deserved it.
<p>
Standing as tall and proud as you ever did when you were Pharaoh, you stride toward the warehouse exit. Time to make one last report to Amun, and then take the Holy MacGuffin back home where it belongs.</blockquote><p><center><table class="item" style="float: none" rel="id=7965&s=0&q=1&d=0&g=0&t=0&n=1&m=0&p=0&u=."><tr><td><img src="/images/itemimages/macguffin.gif" alt="Holy MacGuffin" title="Holy MacGuffin" class=hand onClick='descitem(534962786)'></td><td valign=center class=effect>You acquire an item: <b>Holy MacGuffin</b></td></tr></table></center><Center><p><a href="adventure.php?snarfblat=437">Adventure Again (The Secret Council Warehouse)</a><p><a href="tutorial.php">Go back to Mt. And when I visit Amon, there should be a link back to the Pyramid so I can end the quest. HTML:

HTML:
<body>
<center><table  width=95%  cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0><tr><td style="color: white;" align=center bgcolor=blue><b>Council of Loathing</b></td></tr><tr><td style="padding: 5px; border: 1px solid blue;"><center><table><tr><td><center><img src="/images/otherimages/../adventureimages/amun.gif" width=100 height=100></center><p><p>"Boss!" Amum exclaims. "You did it, didn't you? You retrieved the Holy MacGuffin!"
<p>
"I did indeed do that," you say, sounding rather pleased with yourself.
<p>
"Can I, um… Can I see it?"
<p>
You glance around to make sure you're alone, then show the MacGuffin to Amun. He gives a low whistle.
<p>
"It's beautiful," he says, in awe. "…Er, what is it, exactly?"
<p>
"It's something for you to not ask questions about."
<p>
"I understand, boss," he nods.
<p>
Sensing his disappointment, you sigh. "Look, Amun… you're a good dude, and you did a hell of a job, so I'll let you in on a secret. I don't actually know what this thing is."
<p>
Amun blinks, surprised. "Really?"
<p>
"Yeah. Look, you know how I was ticked at those three morons that lost the pieces of my Staff? Because they had <i>one job</i>, and they screwed it up? Well, looking after this thing is my one job. The Holy MacGuffin -- I'm the one that gave it that silly name, because I haven't got a damn clue what's so important about it. Only that it is very, very important."
<p>
"I see. Do you think you'll ever find out, boss?"
<p>
"Beats me," you shrug. "Anyway, I'd better get it back to my tomb. Thanks for your help, Amun." The two of you shake hands. "Good luck with… er, whatever it is you do when I'm not around."
<p>
Amun gives you a deep bow as you leave the alley.<p><centeR><a href="town.php">Back to Seaside Town</a></center></td></tr></table></center></td></tr><tr><td height=4></td></tr></table></centeR><script>parent.charpane.location.href="charpane.php";</script></body>

Just saying.

Thanks. We are far from done on this; I keep finding little things that "should be there", but, for the most part, am not even noting them; I am STILL trying to "retire" from this project, and my hand-picked devs are doing Just Fine, so, let them do it, eh? :)

But, reporting those "little things" here is a Good Thing for letting us decide when it it is finally Done.

Am looking forward to having time to actually ascend as Ed and add support for things. Managed to get to level 3 on an alt and that was it so far.

Here's all three of the MP restorer buffs:
Code:
use 1 holy spring water
You gain 43 Mana Points
You acquire an effect: Spiritually Awake (duration: 10 Adventures)
--------------------

use 1 spirit beer

# Effect:Spiritually Aware: 5-7 MP regeneration per turn
--------------------

use 1 sacramental wine
You gain 164 Mana Points
You acquire an effect: Spiritually Awash (duration: 10 Adventures)
--------------------
1804	Spiritually Awash	wine.gif	3972b793f9f5f2d7fe515ea3efe53082
# Effect:Spiritually Awash: 8-10 MP regeneration per turn
--------------------

Code:
# <your winged yeti>	wingedyeti.gif	BOSS HP: 250 Atk: 120 Def: 108 Init: 50 E: cold P: beast
# <you> the Adventurer		BOSS Atk: 240 Def: 210 HP: 900 Init: 150 P: dude

But how would they show up as constants? $monster[<you> the Adventurer] ? Plus mafia would need to recognize them when they are encountered.

Not for <you> the Adventurer. That has the same image as your previous, non-Ed, ascension.

There are other multi-image monsters that we handle just fine. I don't know what any of the image names are in this case to know how straightforward that is here. Maybe we just check for 6 different images this time.

Twelve images, not six. There are two different genders and they have their own images, but you're forgetting one other thing. I suspect if the previous ascension was Boris or Zombie Master or... well, classes that haven't yet been invented, their pictures might show up there. Someone needs to spade that eventually. I'd rather it be set up so that it is not broken by the very next avatar path to be created.

No it doesn't. Every time I've fought this monster, it has been a male adventurer. Of course, the text makes it clear that it is a "he" - although that has never been true of my main (except one stretch of Sleazy Surgeries, when I was going after a trophy). I have never, ever, ascended as a male character.
