I recall Ye Goode Olde Days when there were lots of kids to yell at and tell them to Get Off of My Lawn! In those days, KoLmafia deliberately did not support Crimbo content during the event, rouge versions that did support Crimbo were rumored to exist if you knew The Right People and all of the complaints were about lag.

I'd say things have improved in general, but this Crimbo is definitely a step back in terms of the game mechanics required to access the content. I feel like the content was designed to appeal to a specific type of play style and group of players (or to prevent abuses by the same) with no thoughts about the new players or the great unwashed masses.

There clearly is some thought to the new and unwashed players, that's why level 1 warbears are easy to kill and guaranteed to give the loot regardless of gear. It's just not well done since the TPTB put the latest KRAMPUSbots are behind a 800 turn wall without the slightest thought that 800 turns of redundant combats is a lot unless you use automation.

Added in r13434.

My guess is that the remaining spaces in item numbering are filled by the three remaining advent tiny plastics (6910-2), the 27 (!) helm(6928-6936)/pants(6938-6946)/accessories(6948-6956) from the new bots, and 1 or 2 other items. I guess one of those will be a drop from a climatic boss or a reward from it (7044), and one may actually be something undiscovered from the spellcaster revamp (6902, just before advent items).

I think I'vve figured out what irks me about this criimbo. 1) there is too much going on with hiigh cost associated with any kind of sustained advenrturing and 2) when switching robots youu get nothing back. Not even from a level 3 robot. That irks me the most I rthink.

Just open relay browser and that'll go away. You need to hit main.php each session so KoL knows you can access Crimbo. No idea why they've done it like that.

Well, if you do what I suggested, you will see all the "events" that happened since you last looked at main.php. I like that, but I can imagine that some people wouldn't care.

True. I tend to have Mafia chat open so I get all those in the "events"-tab and so that issue has never been an issue. It is more that when I do load up the relay browser I get loads of messages I've already seen :)

You omitted the warbear plain ushanka. I assume it is item # 6934, but we need the desc id. Can you get it, please?

And it would be nice to get the powers for the accessories. You can do that by simply doing:

checkpowers

with all the items in your inventory (or closet, I think).

Which is to say, the number of items that you need to multi-use to make each thing. Correct?
