MacGuffin no longer uses hiddencity.ash -- it has a new function for handling the hidden city (partly -- recommend you read the first post there, link in my sig). Use the version included in the bundle if you want to run Ascend, until dj_d figures out how he'd like to incorporate the update.
 
Started running this on a couple unascended multis as an experiment, each are level 28 DBs. One little kink I've found so far is an infinite loop where the script tries to adventure at the temple to get rid of effects from the desert while searching for the oasis. Each stat was at 1 from the desert effects, and therefore I didn't meat the stat requirement to adventure there, so the script got stuck in its attempt to adventure at the temple until the desert effects were gone.

Also, 3 days in a row now the script has eaten at the beginning of the day, used all turns, then used spleen/booze at the end of the day to the limit, then nightcapped without using any of those adventures. I noticed this yesterday and I figured it might have been banking turns since today is a stat day, but it did it again today, and looking through my logs confirms it did it on the first day. I tried looking through EatDrink.ash, but I couldn't figure out which variable to tinker with. I would have figured it was consumelast causing this issue, but it's set to false by default.

Looks like this is intended behavior:

Once you get liver, it does eating in the morning and drinking plus overdrinking at night. That allows you to bank some extra turns in case the next day is a stat day etc.

I'm not clear if you're running eatdrink.ash standalone, though, or via ascend.ash. If the latter, look for the eatdrink.ash calls, specifically the "overdrink" parameter. If you set it to false, then that consumption session won't overdrink.
 
The only parameter I found in vars_charname file was eatdrink_suppressOverdrink, which I toggled from true to false, yet it did the same thing. Am I missing something?

It does this on purpose. So it can roll over max adventures in case the next day is something special and you want to play your adventures manually.
 
eatdrink_suppressOverdrink just suppresses the "Are you really sure you want to overdrink?" message that Mafia gives.

I think -- though I haven't tried it -- that what you want to do is go into ascend.ash, find the calls to the eatdrink function, and change the fourth parameter to false. I'm basing this off of dj_d's instructions. (It's possible this may cause it to never overdrink, though, or to behave just as it does now but without overdrinking, essentially still banking turns for the next day, but without overdrinking.) It may be worth a try.

Is there any way to get it to stop infinite looping trying to buy food it can't afford? Seems if you only have 400-500 meat it will get stuck trying to buy something, fail due to lack of meat, then try to buy the same thing again forever.. even aborting and restarting the script leads it back to the same loop.. did i break something?

I like it so far, it's just that it gets hung up trying to make a bartender/chef-in-the-box for me, and keeps trying to do that.
Is there any way I can turn that off?

Oh, it keeps trying to open the guild for me at level 4, and fails, wasting my adventures.
Can I turn that off also?

Is there a possibility of it attempting to or restoring HP and MP when turn burning scripts start?

I just had this start, a long with many other errors happen with Wossname and Macguffin that I feel could be fixed by just restoring mana and removing beaten up.

I haven't had any trouble since I installed Bales Universal Recovery Script but if you have that and you're still getting an error when you're beaten up I'd recommend going to the graphical CLI and typing the commands "uneffect beaten up" "restore hp" and "restore mp" before running the script. Someone more knowledgeable than me might even know a way to chain that all into one macro.

I think I have the issue figured out, becasue I think when I upgrade to some versions of Mafia.jar daily version it removes "set recoveryScript = Universal_recovery" and I just need to reenter that, I've even had to change the items used to the default.

I've just encountered a rather curious error... So I didn't have any stench protection to adventure in Guano Junction and It didn't pull sonars, so it started adventuring to level up instead in the Bat Entryway, then once my moxie was up enough it started adventuring in stronger places instead of finishing the quest even after it got stench protection item form the entry way.

Now I'm at level 6 and it's skipped the level 4-5 and 6 quests, and it only trying to adventuring in Friars gate to level up.

As an update, I manually finished the level 4 and 5 quests once it leveled me up to level 7, and reran the script and it started back from it's earlier start at the level 6 quest back to it's normal self.

you need to be more specific, but as I can see it's not doing anything wrong, it's giving you th information on whats happening and what the script is doing, it's informative.
 
Is there any way for me to stop Ascend.ash and eatdrink.ash to stop trying to make me a box helper? It's kind of annoying, and it's stuck in a loop.

This might be because of a mafia setting: Item Manager -> Createable -> "repair on explosion" (and "require in-a-boxen").
 
Ooh, is there anyway to change that then?
Since I forgot to run buycrap before I ascended. Oops!
And I can't make one, nothing to make it with.
