Feature - Implemented Track progress in Oil Peak, A-boo Peak

For whatever reason I thought the boo peak formula was 2*n instead of (n^2 + n). Which also explains why lost thought I was being dumb (since I was being dumb).

Quick fix once I get home, sorry I botched this implementation so badly.

Thanks for all your work ! I also don't think the pref accounts for that initial, free unlock adventure. The pref still says 100 after that, while the QL says 98.

r12104 fixes the formula.

I'll note that these reports

My report did include the choice adventure. I passed through there by using 3 clues, and a few fights, and never got it to update without hitting the quest log first.

Edit #4:
starting booPeakProgress = 76
Used clue, adventured. Manually chose damage 5X (only survived that last hit by 2 HP, whew). booPeakProgress = 66
Hit quest log, it said 46%. booPeakProgress after QL hit = 46.

Say different things. Incorrect updating != not updating. So.. I dunno, make sure it's working now.

We do still need to detect that introductory noncombat.

I would rely on the second report. It was made with much more careful observation and even note-taking. Also, it was made with an updated revision.

The first was made just on having the pref value printed in my after-adventure script output. Also, I had done the oil peak first and paid more attention there. When I had determined the oil peak wasn't working (using that older revision), I probably paid less attention at boo peak than I should have.

Since each step gives 2*n progress, and I would have updated after each step, I didn't actually understand how you were trying to track stuff. It looked like the correct formula was just in the wrong place.

For the record: I was unaware that getting beaten up by the netted you more than fleeing. As a result I chose the flee adventure before running out of HP. I don't know whether that would affect the logic used for decrementing the haunted counter.

Depends if you can heal beaten up. If you can't, then getting beaten up may waste 3 adventures and consequently 4 ABP cleaning points. If you can heal beaten up then yes, definitely better to just bite the bullet. During AoJ, badmoon, or other low skill runs? Flee and stay alive!

Resting heals beaten up. 0 or 1 adventure, not 3/4.

But if you fled, you could have gotten another clue from that adventure as well as the 2 ABP you'd have gotten for dying. Between resting for an adventure or fleeing and spending the adventure yourself, you should flee. :) Between free-resting and fleeing? Free-rest. But as I said, if you're in AoJ without food coma, in bad moon without a tongue or disco nap, or without the proper permed skills? Don't waste the rest-turn. Make it useful.

Fleeing takes an adventure, just like any other result from the choice adventure. The difference is 2 progress and beaten up versus 0 progress and not beaten up. I bet that even in Bad Moon you can plan some way to usefully spend those 3 turns of beaten up rather than wasting a turn on resting, if any of these details are important enough for you to care about.

Here is the html for the intro adventure at A-boo Peak, in case it is needed for detection purposes. The actual quest log html after this adventure is in post #59 of this thread.
