The script just spent over 70 turns to NOT finish the fcle, because it uses hatrack and then equips a non-item find hat on it, changing it away from my spangly sombrero. What is going on here?
It keeps equipping filthy knitted dread sack each time it needs items.

Whatever happened to the fight optimizer script? That used to be pretty good and could calculate the cheapest most efficient way to do fights; if its still up to date.


*looks over at mafia in background* wait... whut? version .22 just spent 43 turns in the barrel with something burning in it for the junkyard quest and still hadnt finished...

It seems to not be doing any stasising as a mystclass but hoping that the monster uses the tool in the first round and then moves on to attacking it straight away.

Actually i was a moxie class. Also sorry that was version 0.21 not 0.22.
 
Version 0.21 moxie run below. I manually stopped it after opening the war, so i could clover/Primordial soup the flyers. I then started the script again to pick up at the junkyard.

The script went 45+ some adventures in the same area. When i saw what was happening and stoped it, the quest told me i already had the item and it was time to move on to the next area.

The specific adventure where it gets the correct item is [915]. It makes it to adventure [950+] while still staying in the same area trying to get an item it already has. Of note, the script somehow though i needed to level my moxie in the DR set in.

So it started checking the Junkyard quest, took a detour to go power level my moxie, then came back and started the junk yard quest, ignoring the condition when it successfully acquired the hammer.


Also of note, is it seems to be trying to use non-combat buffs in this zone for some reason. I've seen that happen in a few other places where it wasn't necessary either (in the ballroom while power leveling for instance) which may just be a matter of restarting the script at an awkward place or something.

Here is the CLI for equipping the filthy knitted dreadsack on the hatrack.
I bolded the equip down near the end:

It looks to me like it is attempting to maximize my moxie, it doesnt realize that putting the dread sack on my hatrack does not help my moxie. :P
It even pulls the dreadsack out of the closet and equips it, if I put it in there.

Interestingly, it does not do this when I go to the ballroom for dance cards, it uses the spangly sombrero then. But for all the quests, it sticks on the damn dreadsack.


Edit: as soon as I got Mesh cap, it started putting that on the hatrack each time it wanted items.
It appears that it is doing a modifier maximizer looking for "mainstat -melee -10 ml -tie +moxie experience.

Modifier maximizer tells it to equip the hatrack with some xp giving hat, and it does that.

Just curious, do myst runs still try to get the epic weapon? And if so... can it not? (separate option vs getting the muscle or moxie epic weapons in the relay script please)
 
Also of note, is it seems to be trying to use non-combat buffs in this zone for some reason. I've seen that happen in a few other places where it wasn't necessary either (in the ballroom while power leveling for instance) which may just be a matter of restarting the script at an awkward place or something.
I think that is because there is a non-combat choice adventure in the Ballroom that can be set to give Moxie substats.

Not sure if it is more optimal, as that will result in more noncombats meaning fewer dancecards.

Was about to say that it would be nice if the script would Olfaction zombie waltzers while powerleveling in the ballroom but just recalled BCC mention something about it being a bad idea. Guess it is time to sort out that CCS afer all, and not just rely on Attack with Weapon =S

Nother question. How is the myst ascension currently prioritize gear choice? Will it be able to identify that, say, the double-ice cap (MP regen) is better then a hat with +2myst?

Or is it priority something alone the lines of equip if +spell damage > 0 else if +MP regen > 0 else if +Myst > 0, or look for specific pieces of equipment like cookbooks ect?


P.S.: just added a bug report to sourceforge, but 0.22 incorrectly returns the value of some monsters HP as being 0 or 1, which causes the myst combat script to use low level spells that get you killed.

P.S.S. the double-ice box may make things a bit complicated since its current enchants is

Your script seems to equip it in its current itemization priority over, say the cookbook of the damned. The 10-20 damage happens every round, even the round you cast noodles, so it is almost the equivalent of +10-20 spell damage but better since it dosent effect the spell cap and hits even when you use noodles/non damage spells.

BCC, a simplified version of sauce-synergy could still be quite useful. Just check if one has Wave, Geyser, and at least +25 spell damage. Then, do wave then geyser. Can be improved by checking for elemental alignment and making sure wave doesn't 1-hit, but by the time the first 3 are true most of your combats should be ok. Though, forcing use of the imp unity ring for synergy users may be a good idea in an automated context.

Obviously that should be rewritten to use macros and the new SS instead of FTF, but there's still some useful logic in there to salvage.
 
This isn't a bug per say, but something people should be aware of during myst automated ascensions...

The combat routine is over written by the 'optimize spell sling' code. Which means it won't Olfacate monsters you've set in the css (dairy goats for instance)
 
You could, if it turns out to be working, use my version of spamattack which is basically the standard combats from BCCascend taken into a consult script that generates a macro. It does "attack" for muscle and moxie classes and builds a macro of up to 6 skills if your a myst class. Drawback would be that the script would yet again be slightly less than 0 setup.

Edit: So, I've been testing this during my turns today and it appears to be working as I want it to so I hereby submit it for a wider audience. It works for all classes, but it basically attacks if it is a muscle or moxie class. If it's a myst class it does a lot more and generates a macro with up to 7 skills (entangling noodles, 5 dynamically generated spells followed by either spaghetti spear or salsaballs depening on class)

It works well even if you start it a bit into a fight.
