Wild guess... you don't have a smiling rat yet. And you haven't changed the default familiar using the relay script.
I have the smiling rat and I've had it for a long time. My default familiar was set to cocoboa and I just changed it to the Emilio. I've used the script for a while and this is really the only problem that I've had with it other than the crimbo thing.

Your first step will be in giving a more detailed description of the problem. CLI output and which areas for a start.
Yeah, when I run it again, I'll make sure that I take notes and screenshots. Is there a certain place you would like me to send it to?

I had some problems getting zlib to recognize Emilio. bumcheekascend doesn't use zlib, however it's possible an underlying issue could cause the same behavior in both.
 
Bloovian Groose support

I've hacked bumcheekascend to have some basic support for the Bloovian Groose and groose grease for spleening. I have made it use any groose grease immediately (since it has no level requirement) and made it prefer the Groose to any other spleen familiar, since it has other beneficial functions and is the trendiest :-)

Here's a patch against current svn:

Feel free to incorporate this into bumcheekascend and/or mangle it beyond recognition.
 
Softcore/casual issue: Looks like the script freaks out if you can't hit the Knob Goblin king, going into a loop where it continuously uses knob goblin perfume.
 
I am baffled by bumcheekascend's behavior here... why isn't it restoring MORE hit points so it can survive long enough to defeat the Astronomer? Every time it tries, 30-40 HP gained from casting Tongue of the Walrus isn't enough...

The script doesn't restore anything, it is fully reliant on your restore settings and whatever restoration script (or default Mafia behaviour) you have set. WHat are your restoration set to?

Well... before I started running this script I had Mafia using Bale's Universal recovery script, set to auto-recover HP and MP at 35%. Afterwards the recovery settings were changed to do not auto-recover HP and MP (instead recovering on an as-needed basis). I am not sure what triggered this change. As far as HP/MP recovery items go, I've left those at the defaults for Bale's Universal recovery.
 
This may be due to newLife (or maybe default mafia), but... it's caused by Ascension. Ascend, and it resets your restoration settings. You have to fix them every time. My copy of newLife sets them to higher values, because I'm not going to stick around the low areas for too long...

I'm able to tell the Relay Script to create food and drink, but I don't see anywhere to tell it to eat for me. Am I missing something or does the automation consist of:

1) Run eatdrink
2) Run bumcheeckascend
3) Run eatdrink again for a nightcap

That is correct. bcc did not want to reinvent EatDrink so you need to use/script it as you see fit. Just a hint, look at the ED thread and consider what eatdrink_stepMeat should be, before you start saying - "I told ED to fill me up and it didn't. WTF?!!!"

YEah, the script only creates the reagent dishes and suchlike, it doesn't actually eat the, That's up to you to do.
 
The script doesn't automatically collect semi-rares. You should setup and use bale's counterChecker script for this, and set the option in the relay script to stop reminding you.

SidRock, I typically do not turn on the option to make reagent dishes and SCCs. Some people like in that it makes stuff a little more automated for higher levels.
 
If you want it to get semirares, you'll need to use a counter script, like CounterChecker. And if you want CounterChecker to actually automate getting semirares in HC, be sure you turn that variable on...

That makes sense. Just leave the options turned off and let EatDrink figure out what needs to be made. Appreciate it!
 
just thought I'd mention that my last 2 ascensions, the script has failed to neutralize the goblin king, and I have needed to do it before getting the lair. Not a big deal, but I don't remember it ever doing that before in my previous 10 or so runs with it.
