Hi,
I have been successfully using an older copy of mafia 28207.jar since December 2024 on my 2018 Mac Book. I don't play too often, but one of the scripts I wanted to use needs a newer version of mafia; which is where the problem started.
I downloaded the newest release for the .jar, but instead of having the martini glass and lime on the folder in my Applications it shows a white circle with a slash through it. I updated my Java, running this currently:
java version "25.0.1" 2025-10-21 LTS
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 25.0.1+8-LTS-27)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.0.1+8-LTS-27
I also recently updated my Mac to OS Sequoia, if that's relevant.
I normally just have it replace the files when I drag the mafia file over to Applications, but this is the first time I've seen the white circle/slash. I also tried opening the .dmg file and it showed the same white circle/slash. I didn't want to replace the old version I'm using that currently works, less some scripts, with this one if it's not going to work.
What should I do next?
