monitoring clan chat

Is there a function or any way to monitor clan chat? I would like to be able to parse messages to see if they are relevant (something along the lines of a request for a buff, or something like that). I would need to be able to pull the name, and the message, but I'm not finding anything that already does that.

Yes, which all the chatbots I've worked with were written in Python, I'd like to be able to do it with Mafia...

For reference, here's my simple script that monitors clan for ascension messages (HCN likes to brick new ascenders) and responds to PM's while away. Hope it helps!
