I can tell you why it got the "no location selected." It's because I clicked the button before selecting a location. I type 'barrel' in the window to get back to the barrels, and sometimes forget to click if there are multiple results in the list. I don't think that happened the last time I had a DRINK barrel left over.
The last time it happened, the semirare fortune cookie also stopped it in the middle.

Ok, did it again today, most spectacularly, left 5 barrels.
Interestingly, I typed barrels in the location bar, but clicked too quickly and got the 'no location selected' error again (even though it usually selects the location when there is only one possibility). Possibly related?

When it has left only one barrel previously, it has not allowed me to adventure there via Mafia, I had to collect the final DRINK barrel in the relay browser. This time, it resolved successfully once I tried to adventure there through Mafia again.
I tried to intentionally trigger the missing barrel today, by not selecting a location and clicking the button, getting the 'no location selected' error, but it didn't leave any DRINK barrels behind this time...
Looking at my previous CLI, it wasn't doing the duplication as it did last time, so I'm at a loss about how to trigger it intentionally. I'll continue to post CLI and barrelLayout when it does it again.

Intentionally allowed the Cookie counter to trigger in the middle of barrels this time, and it left one DRINK barrel. So it looks like I can intentionally reproduce it by letting the semirare counter come up in the middle, although I believe it has left a DRINK barrel other times with no interruption, and told me 'all booze has been collected.'
Was very careful not to trigger the 'no location selected' bit this time.
