hermit looter question

Hello, I'm new to kolmafia and still learning about it. Can someone tell me how you can loot more than one item from the hermit at once as it's quite annoying to just get one at a time. Thx!

It has been mentioned in other threads that the command above doesn't actually work in HC/ronin, and you end up with just 1 clover instead.

What about using the cli command

ash while (hermit(1, $item[Ten-leaf clover])){}

Or you could just do hermit 5 clover since 5 is the most you can get in a day. If there are fewer than 5 available, then mafia will get the ones that are available and it works perfectly well. It works the same way if you prefer hermit(5, $item[Ten-leaf clover]).

Note that if you run this in a script you'd best trap the error condition.

Then I'll make you look extra-bad by informing everyone that your method will leave you purchasing an extra hermit permit and acquiring an extra trinket. My method checks the total when it gets the first one and only acquires what you actually need to buy out the hermit. It's a only small waste of course, just 150 meat.
