I can't see the dev forum, I'm not saying I want to be a dev, because I don't really have any code contributions, however I like to think (possibly wrongly) that my contributions in terms of comments and ideas have on occasion been useful. Could we have the thread somewhere I can see it please?

The dev-forums are a completely different forum. There are links to it floating around on the board but I don't remember where

There is, but for some reason we almost never use those.
