Firefox 44 marks HTTP login forms as insecure

Available now for Nightly channel users; soon for Developer Edition; +6 weeks for Beta; +12 weeks (around New Year's Day 2016) for Stable. This change will likely force KoL to adapt sooner rather than later, to switch on HTTPS logins for everyone by default. This in turn will likely have a knock on effect on KoLmafia.

Firefox is correct, of course. (well, maybe not "of course", but "this time", at least. )

On the Connection panel of the Login frame, check the box labeled "Switch to HTTPS for login (development in progress)". holatuwol added support for doing so, years ago, and I have been using it ever since. The only thing you lose by doing that is not seeing the login page with twitch announcements and such.

I'm not sure what "development" is still "in progress".
