Really old Mafia builds.

This is just me being curious. At more than 12.5k revisions, Mafia is very different from when it started ~8 (!) years ago. Does anyone have any super old Mafia builds, or even screen shots, so that I can see what it looked like back in the "holy shit that's an ambitious project you got there" stage? This is only out of sheer curiosity 8^)

True. I was working based on the roippi suggestion for checking out a really old version, and how to look at its info. Though a precompiled release-state jar is better for just trying to SEE, which was indeed the original request.

Actually, you can. You can't checkout the code before that revision, since before then KoLmafia was in CVS, not SVN, and the CVS code repository is long gone. However, you can go to Previous Releases on Sourceforge and find any release you want, back to Version 0.2 from Dec 24, 2004. Each version includes at least the source tree in a .tar.gz file and a compiled .jar file. Eventually, .dmg and .exe files were produced and uploaded.

KoLmafia-0.2.jar is a whole 69.6 kB. It has grown just a tad since then.

I first did CVS checkout of KoLmafia on May 13, 2005. holatuwol gave me commit access on May 20, 2005 and it's been all downhill for the project since then. ;)

The first release containing code I submitted was presumably version 4.1 on May 23, 2005.

holatuwol imported it into SVN on April 3, 2006. Version 7.0 came out on April 10, 2006.

I don't recall how many thousands of commits went into CVS. Perhaps holatuwol saved the revision history somewhere.

I find this interesting, so I went back and grabbed the first revision of mafia that would compile. (The second commit, to be exact) This was all it could do.

The other thing about Ohloh is that it hasn't been getting any info since March, so there's probably some >4k count there.

Really? Then what is
Analyzed 10 days ago based on code collected 10 days ago.
supposed to mean?

It was 9 days when I checked yesterday which doesn't get me back to March :)

Sorry, not March, February. Which had 28 commits. March, April, May, June, July, and August have all had 0 commits. No commits since claybender glasses... looks like they never followed us when SourceForge changed the repository.

It's sad how such an active project suddenly died. *sniffs*

Anyways, hover your mouse over the picture in the first link you gave. It shows on the chart how many commit items happened each month. Or look at the commits I posted which says nothing for 7 months. Either way.

I still don't understand what the 10 day comment means but you are right about no recent commits. I suspect that http://www.ohloh.net/p/kolmafia/enlistments needs to be updated with new locations. I may look into that.

And I did. Ohloh know knows about the updated repository so things should be more up to date once that knowledge gets propagated.

Actually, the one I compiled there doesn't have code for anything but the login frame, so that really is all it can do.
