Feature Use Pantsgiving before doing a free rest

I realize that equipment switches before doing this-or-that KoL action are problematic, but here is Yet Another one to consider.

Pantsgiving enchantment:

# Pantsgiving: Improves resting

In particular, the Wiki says:

When resting while you or your Fancypants Scarecrow is wearing Pantsgiving, the following message is added and HP and MP gains increase by 5 per current fullness each.
You don't even have to take off your pants, they're so comfortable!
I was completely unaware of this until I noticed that sometimes I got a heckuva lot more MP back when resting. We're talking about up to 75 more MP, if you have 15 fullness. Especially if KoLmafia is doing a free rest to restore MP, perhaps it should take this into account?

It sounds a good plan, though of course shouldn't be done if swapping them drops max HP or MP to the point those lose stat (or make the gain irrelevant). Though being able to get out Scarecrow, put Pantsgiving on it, and then swap back to previous familiar/familiar equip would be safer if possible I suspect.

In aftercore, I thought it would fall into the same category as -MP cost gear, which is ignored to save server hits. I've also gotten to the point where aftercore MP tends to be a non-issue thanks to the florist friar.

During an ascension, if I have Pantsgiving available, I am always wearing it anyway except when I have to wear an outfit.

Not to say that it's a bad idea, I'm just surprised at the unquestioned support from everyone else (and I thought all of you mostly stuck to HC).

I dabble a bit in Softcore, often try one or two runs in a challenge path, though I didn't last time. I think a couple of my silver moons are softcore.

In the past I've been almost exclusively Hardcore, but I did 22 Normal Heavy Rains runs. I started doing that before I realized how fast the path was, to make sure that I'd have time to get in at least 11, but once I got the rhythm down - my Day 1 and 2 pull lists, for example - it was easier to just continue.

The other reason I continued in Normal was that I was intensively farming swagger during the pirate season, and it's a heck of a lot easier to do that if you can pull rollover +fite equipment and stuff that will help you with minis. Which is to say, I was not exactly concerned about speed (by pulling stuff to aid that).

I did pull Pantsgiving, Buddy Bjorn, and a few other T69-safe SC toys I never get to use. And yes, while actually running turns, I'd always be wearing Pantsgiving. But, since I had tons of free rests (I'd eat a Sleeping Dog on day 1), I wouldn't necessarily use them all up actually using turns. And if I'd changed in to my PVP outfit at the end of the day and decided to burn my MP doing libram summons or something, I noticed that my rests were less effective.

I JUST figured out why that happened - and this thread is the result.

It's not a biggie, and making sure you don't reduce your HP and MP definitely does make it more complicated than I first thought. I will probably not implement this myself. If that means this Feature Request languishes, so be it. :)
