My tools are not even close to set up to do more than compile and run these builds currently...
Are these variable equipments being checked at every login, even if they never change?

Nothing around the cadence with which we check the items has changed, I just neatened up the way we do parse items once mafia sees an item description page. The only thing we're doing now that we weren't before is overwriting modifiers for every "changes from time time" item rather than most of them.
