Edit: I'm dumb.
When I use the Modifier Maximizer tool, or the function maximize("meat", 0, 0, false), Mafia wants to equip an oil pan in my mainhand.
The oil pan does not add +meat. I own a variety of one-handed items that do add +meat, including a muculent machete and world's smallest violin.
The oil pan seems to be suggested no matter what I currently have equipped.
