How to finish a fight started with visit_url()?

I'm able to start a fight with my Chateau painting monster with visit_url("place.php?whichplace=chateau&action=chateau_painting"). But then the script just proceeds to the next line, which fails because I'm in a fight.

How can I prompt Mafia to automatically finish the fight that just started?
