Until you Hax0r the Hermit, every item you obtain from him costs a Worthless Item AND a Hermit Permit. When we create the Concoctions associated with Hermit items, we include the Worthless Item as an ingredient. We should also include the Hermit Permit as an additional ingredient (until you Hax0r the Hermit, at which point we should rebuild the Concoctions) so that Item Creation will take Hermit Permits in inventory and/or acquired for 100 Meat each from the Market Demon into account; you can't make a recipe using the jaba pepper if you can't afford a Hermit Permit.

Fixing this would also allow this feature request to be done: we could value the purchase cost of a worthless item at 50 - one gum-on-a-string - and initialize the "creatable" (i.e. able to be gotten by "acquire") field of the Worthless Item pseudo-Concoction to however many you can get at that price with your current Meat (minus the appropriate slack, if you don't have all the other gum-items in inventory), and hopefully KoLmafia would Just Work and realize that it costs 50 or 150 Meat to "acquire" a jaba pepper or sweet rims or whatever and take that into account.
