So, somehow I managed to do this . As you can see I can no longer choose custom combat for the area. Not define custom in the tab. Tell mafia to use it, in that box on the right hand side that I have made disappear somehow.

Mafia v r10049, Java 6 r22, Windows XP. What did I do and how do I fix it?

This was a change made in r10047

Move special actions panel and combat actions select to Custom Combat subtab.

Change buttons on adventuring interface to be arranged vertically rather than horizontally to give them more room.

The goals are under the location selection, and the combat actions are not set in the Custom Combat subtab.

Thanks and I do feel a bit silly. It is amazing how you get used to seeing something one way and get blinded when it changes.
