Might I suggest potentially putting in an uneffect beaten up, and check to see if beaten up continues? If it's an outlier, then you do want automation to continue... if it's gremlins or a zerg rush or something similar, then beaten up doesn't mean beaten up actually should stop you... but yes, may be good to have that. The other thing is, you may want to have it check for length... if you try to adventure somewhere else with a permanent mood check running to try to remove beaten up (knob treasury, or fantasy airship, giant's castle, or something else relatively easy with some benefit to you)... it'll get stopped as well.
