Is there any way I can make it pop up some sort of alert window any time the highlighted text comes up? Just changing the color of the text isn't very helpful.

Good lord! Are you serious? An alert window every time highlighted text appears would be (probably) undesirable for a number of people.

There's a preference to make it beep (off by default), I think. chatBeep or something like that. Although I think that might be whenever a new message pops up, I don't really know the details, since I've never bothered to use it.

I could add the same thing for highlighting, but I really don't want to subvert that preference (chatBeep) and making a new preference for this purpose seems niche. I imagine even fewer people would use it than use chatBeep.

I don't really see why it would be undesirable, if it were an option. Maybe just flash the taskbar thing.

I want to use it so whenever someone offers a cagebait job in /trade I know about it. I imagine there are plenty of other good uses for it.

But in any case, apparently the answer is "no?" I has a sad :(
