View Full Version : Question about the Scripts Menu...

How or is the menu sorted?
I was adding new scripts and rearranging them and they don't come up in the order that makes sense to me.
I was just curious if there was a set order so I could best use it to get my scripts in the order I would like.

Well....my script menu is sorted like this:

All of the sub-folders in alphabetical order
All of the scripts in alphabetical order

Each sub-folder is, itself, sorted that way too.

Is yours sorted differently? Or does alphabetical "not make sense" to you? ;)

depends on your alphabet I guess...

Folder I Have and their order...
Eat & Drink
Quest Bits

and under Bountys where there are more folders
Tier 3
Tier 2
Tier 1

and the individual cli scripts under them are in no particular order either...

It depends on your JRE (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/io/File.html#listFiles()) designer. There is no order. I could force things to sort in alphabetical order?[hr]I've gone ahead and forced the script menu to sort. :) ... I believe OSX has its own JRE designed by its own team, and they probably thought it was silly that listFiles() had no order. I don't script much, so I never noticed it.

Holatuwol, It now sorts the base menu alphabetically but anything in lower levels is still unsorted.
Would it be possible for you to work your magic on more levels?

I'm only running 4633 atm, so this might already have been addressed, but I wanted to mention it while I was thinking of it.
off to get my turns in today and then I will build the newest and explore more :)

Thank you again for all of the hard work
