Updating JAR and EXE?

Ok, so I know to update my JAR file every few days and so today I needed to do it so I went to the page and this is what it says (I know you already know what it says, but I just want to put it so I can reference it).


Latest EXE Build: KoLmafia.exe (Built Every Sunday at Midnight)
Latest Jar Builds (Built Once An Hour):
KoLmafia-11318.jar
KoLmafia-11317.jar
KoLmafia-11316.jar
KoLmafia-11315.jar



So I know why the older JAR files are available, but what is the kolmafia.exe? Do I need to be doing something with that as well?

It's just there for people that don't trust JARs for some crazy reason. It fails exactly the same if Java isn't properly installed, it's less updated, etc...

The one good thing about it is that it's easier to make a shortcut to it. But you can make shortcuts to JARs as well...

Awesome I was hooping for a nice easy explanation like this
