It got mine, but I got it back while hunting up my Hobo boss factoids. Lucky me! It didn't get my second one, because I run "zlib WHAM_noitemsplease = true" as soon as I pull stuff out of Hagnk's.

Technically, since I was giving all my unneeded loot to a newbie, they lost out, because of this wonderfully dodgy script.

I finally figured out how to set up a blacklist. Mine is 137 lines long.

Is there any way to re-order the way WHAM casts skills? I have the Haiku Katana equipped and my character has Noodles. WHAM casts Spring Raindrop Attack (0 MP, restores HP and MP) first before casting Noodles, which usually ends up causing the monster to hit once before it gets Entangled. I would prefer it to cast Noodles and THEN use Spring Raindrop Attack.

For what it's worth, I tried turning on "Cast Noodles before Simple Actions" in Mafia but it made no difference - Spring Raindrop Attack is always cast first.

Yes, because the raindrop thingie is used as a stasis option and the noodles are put on later as a way to help in the fight, so no there isn't unless the stasis function decides to cast it itself first.

I finally figured out how to set up a blacklist. Mine is 137 lines long.

Revision 15 denies usage of the iceball just in case. At least until I can figure out what was going on.
Mind sharing your blacklist file? It'd be interesting to perhaps have a way to build a default list or something. Mine is like 6 lines of things that can possibly be good to have as combat finishers if I have them in case WHAM bails out :)

I think I'd be better off with a white list. I noticed a few things missing, so I did some scripting and a lot of hand editing and now it's 350 lines long. I'll upload it when I get a chance, but I'm not sure how useful it would be.

I'm trying to figure out the rules for what I want, but it's not simple.

"Death in 13" and "We are going to 14 shot" is not really compatible is it?
Especially not 6 rounds later, however noodles and blue balls both effect that. I've noticed that sometimes WHAM's a bit optimistic about noodles. I got it at verbosity 9.

Revsion 14 of WHAM beta should now properly abort stasising of the galdiator skills when you learn the third one and should also not do it if you already know the third skill.

Sorry, I misremembered how things worked :)

It reached WHAM_round_limit and tried the strategy it had. To me this suggest that you may want to increase your roundcost perhaps, but that should still not make the script kill you... The predicted damage and the actual damage for the skills appear to match with what was dealt to Groar so it's not that. The problem must be in what WHAM thinks about how long you'll survive.

Well, a fight at verbosity 9 would definitely be helpful.. It should've enqueued an attack, a jar, an attack a jar and so on but it obviously only attacked...

I have the weapon equipped, I don't have all the skills, I can hit the monster normally. WHAM chose to use spells to attack. This is with WHAM beta and current BatBrain and SmartStasis.

The problem must be in what WHAM thinks about how long you'll survive.
That's probably it. I wish I'd had a chance to debug it. Maybe next time. Other than the NS, Goar is the only fight WHAM loses for me in BIG! It beats the NS nearly all the time, which I let it do just for kicks.

I have the weapon equipped, I don't have all the skills, I can hit the monster normally. WHAM chose to use spells to attack. This is with WHAM beta and current BatBrain and SmartStasis.

Revision 15 of WHAM Beta should hopefully work better on the gladiator training, you will still need the most recent Mafia build (with the tracking in place) for it to work to full extent.

which leads me to think WHAM shouldn't be selecting the anti-anti-antidote unless we ARE poisoned.....

EDIT2: BTW, I did win the combat, attacking with my Knob Bugle a few times, the deleveling worked nicely in my favor......
