Feature - Rejected Refresh Chat

Could there be a feature implemented to add the ash or cli command "refresh chat" ?
This would be most helpful with chat bots who can sometimes take 10 minutes or longer to respond to incoming chat messages due to waiting for mafia to update the chat panel.

I might be missing something here, but looking at the source it looks as though the chat updates every 8 seconds. What is it that you think mafia does to delay the chat updating?

EDIT: To clarify that figure, I believe that ChatManager starts up, cleans chat variables and then starts a thread (ChatPoller). ChatPoller acts (I think) as the chat refresher.
