No more Auto-Buy Chewing Gum in The Sewer?

There seems to be something wrong in the marketplace these days. Somewhere along the way, Kolmafia no longer auto purchases Chewing Gum on a String when you adventure in The Sewer, either manually from the Relay Browser, or from my .ash scripts. I don't know exactly when this started, but within the last month or so.

And possibly related, fortune cookies no longer are a Food item in the Item Manager.

Both work for me.

Question: on the Purchases tab, if you search for chewing gum on a string or fortune cookie, do you see them listed as sold by the Market Demon?

I bet you don't - and that the problem is a bogus "npcstores.txt" in your data directory.

Is it possible that you don't have "Buy items from NPC stores whenever needed" checked in your preferences. I found a while back that I had to go and recheck it after one of the updates.
