Main Window resizing automatically

Hi, does anyone else have this issue?
I'd like to keep the main window as small as possible, just so all elements are displayed properly. I estimate this corresponds to about 700x500 Pixels on my screen (1600x1050).
Now everytime I exit Mafia and open it again, the main window size is much bigger.
It even feels like it gets bigger every time if I don't make it smaller!
I use Vista 64 bit and Jre 1.6.0-11 (32 bit), but I've had this problem since long ago (also on XP 32 bit and Java 1.4/1.5).
Can this somehow be improved upon?

Shame on you for trying to keep the window as small as possible and playing at work! Oh, wait, that's what I do!

I suspect you have the equipment manager setup as a tab. Take that tab off and it will no longer auto-enlarge that window. I think

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately that didn't help.
I've tried with only 3 tabs (Adventure, Purchases, Skill Casting) and still get the same effect.

Tried it with multiple Variations of Tabs, including only the Adventuring Tab - unfortunately didn't help.
