Bug - Won't Fix auto attack is being set in strange and stupid ways

I set auto attack to OFF! especially in bad moon, usually in hardcore. Too often it leads to doing something stupid!

Why is mafia setting auto attack?
Why is it setting it in strange and really stupid ways?
It does not change from something really stupid to something more useful.

PLEASE! stop setting auto attack.
