Bug - Fixed 10837 - HedgeMaze solver broken for 2nd solve

The log below might be a little deceiving. I used Mafia's menu "Hedge Rotation" and it solved the first maze w/o problem. However, the second maze it thought it completed, but it hadn't. Looking at the maze showed it was still in the unsolved state. Using the "[solve]" button produced the same problem where mafia thought it was finished but it was not.

In the end I manually solved the puzzle.

btw: instead of (or maybe in addition to) the "Middle-left tile" reports, perhaps a percentage solved or "1/5 solved". That way you know if you have 4/5ths of it solved you might only need 1 more maze.

This happened to me this morning. I think it was because the Topiary Golem stole my last (only) puzzle when I retrieved the key.

Appears this was probably broken when the relay browser got its "Solve!" button in 10821, since reverting to 10820 does make it work. Overdrunk on Theraze, who was the debug log attached, but I had another character hit the hedgemaze today as well, which let me validate reversion as working.

Conjectures like this do not help. Thanks. For the record, that revision made detection of lost puzzles MORE reliable, for me, since it detected losing them when you rotated in the Relay Browser, too.

However, apparently, your inventory got out of synch - and your log does not show that. I will make it re-synch when trying to use the puzzle says you have none.

Revision 10845 resynchs inventory if using a puzzle says we have none. The base issue - how can inventory get out of synch - remains. I'd be interested in a repeatable way to make that happen, since all my testing tracked puzzles perfectly.

I'll try to see if I have anyone else who can get that soonish, and make a new bug report if so since both the base bug and its immediate extrapolations should be fixed now. Would you prefer a bug report with latest daily build, which should reset the value if mafia gets out of sync, or the bug report with something before 10845 so that it's more clear that they're still out of sync?

At the beginning, I actually had 1, because I'd just gotten one from the fight (above). The debug log goes from just before the refresh inv at the top, where it updated to have a knowledge of one, through the bottom inv hedge, where it knows I'm all out.

Looking at your log and at the code, this is completely incomprehensible. I see "Topiary Golem" in your responseText. I see the check for "Topiary Golem" triggering removal of a puzzle from inventory.

I will have to investigate when I get there again myself.

Wait... You said "At the beginning, I actually had 1, because I'd just gotten one from the fight (above)." So, you had exactly one fight with a golem before you started the log? But, you then show:
