Hence the reason I asked ^^ I've got scripts to prepare for when the BHH is better supported, so this will help me get things in line.

So, is there a place in Mafia where I can easily get the contents of a page on which a link was clicked prior to the link executing? Basically what the bounties are is on the BHH page, but when you accept them there is nothing in the accepting command or the page result that tells you what they are. I could also do it by capturing the currently untaken bounties when you visit the BHH, writing to a preference or having as a manager and then knowing which was taken as a result. At present the bounty information only gets added when you revisit the BHH. (Thinks - actually, could add it based on an item dropping in Fight Request too, though that doesn't fix this issue.
I was going to suggest this.
If there is something you want to capture from a page, do it when you visit the page, not later when you wish you had captured it.
r 13532. Have done this so recognising if you take the bounty correctly now. Adds _untakenEasyBountyItem, _untakenHardBountyItem and _untakenSpecialBountyItem.
Loads still to do, mainly for replicating some of the old bounty automation code with the new bounties. but also recognising which bounty you are on from FightRequest if an item drops.

Since the re-vamp, I have not been able to use Mafia to collect bounties. It tells me that I am already on a bounty hunt. I've updated Mafia twice, and still get the error message. The CLI says it generated a debug log, but I don't see it.

Important information for you to include would be that you went to Travel -> Visit Bounty Hunter.

Something with the bounty hunter changes post-r13531 is confusing mafia; I'm getting whitescreens entering fights, it's not updating inventory correctly, lots of messages printed to the debug log, e.g.:
r13531 doesn't do this, r13534 is broken.

r13538 - It's a work in progress, but more Bounty Hunter Hunter changes. If automatically adventuring will hand in bounties when complete for lucre. Goals based on bounty items not yet working, but +1 filthy lucre will work. Proxy fields on items bounty and bounty_count return null and 0 respectively, as items can no longer be bounty items, will be removed entirely in a future update. Hunter menu option will need a complete rewrite, for now there is a message saying it doesn't work if you try to access it.
When I work it out, I'll get bounty items reporting in Session Results via Adventure Result, get Goals working, rebuild the menu option from scratch, maybe add a bounty proxy record. Also thinking about how to create an override record for bounties, it's a little more complex than usual as they can only be fully worked out by visiting both hunter (for plural) and getting a bounty drop (for single) but this is doable. Should then make automation run a little better before we get around to adding the bounty to bounty.txt. Might also make parsing the preferences go into their own function, maybe part of bounty database, as it's needed a lot. If I do this, I might compress things into one bounty preference rather than three too.
Definitely lots of change expected, but as autoadventuring with +1 filthy lucre as a manual goal works, I wanted to commit the change.
