From your description it appears that your <KoLmafia directory>\settings\<character name>_prefs.txt file may be corrupt. The script above will help with some things.

The Island Battlefield decoration is...weird when in beast form. The Organic Orchard is complete and is decorated properly when not in beast form but the decoration isn't visible when in beast form.

The "trick" is to know/remember that the character may only purchase an oven when not a beast.
