Kol mafia and java jdk

I think I had seen this question on the forum before, but I haven't been able to find it. I installed the newest java sdk and now kol mafia doeesn't seem to work. It lets me log in, but when It disappears, it used to come back with the main interface but now It never returns.

If by latest Java you mean Java 7 then there are versions of KoLmafia that are known to not work with Java 7 and one of the failure modes is as you described. If, however, you are talking about a mafia build newer than 10000 (arbitrary, but late enough to have the known Java 7 issues kind of addressed) then you may be on to something or you mey be reporting something that has already been noticed but not yet diagnosed and fixed.
