    Default SVN Log Searching

I already had the db from the rss feed, and I was bored, I mean REALLY bored

    http://mattchugg.com/kolmafia/svn

The simplest thing to do is just fire your search terms into the box and hit enter, the system will then show you the twenty latest commits containing your terms.

    Example:
    Code:
    inventory putty
This will return the latest 20 commits which have both the words inventory and putty anywhere in the commit message

For those of you who want to get more complex, there are some filtering search terms (which can be used in conjunction with simple words if necessary)
These can all be used in conjunction with each other, although may obviously return an empty set of results

    Code:
    revision:1092
will return the commit details for the specific revision

    Code:
    revision>1092 revision<2000 inventory
will return the top 20 commits between revision 1093 and 1999 containing the word inventory

    Code:
    author:roippi
will make the system only return commits by roippi

    Code:
    file:apirequest
will make the system only return commits which modified any file whose name contains apirequest

Actually, for those of us working on the wiki, this could be quite useful; google searching for SVN results has been slow & painful in the past; this works quite quickly. Thanks!
Before you ask, please check the FAQ.

Google searching for SVN? Ugh. I use TortoiseSVN to search it which is pretty good.

    This is better though.

Searching through the SVN is quite useful when I need to find information on some obscure point of an ash command. I need to do it from time to time, so I'm happy for this. It will be useful and appreciated.

This is an odd request, and I'm not sure how useful it is to everyone else, but now and again I like to see what else was changed surrounding a particular revision. Is it possible to add left and right arrows to go to the next/previous revision, once searching by number?

Either way, this is a fantastic tool - cheers!

Another idea that just entered my head... enter a revision range and see all the combined revision notes for that range, maybe usedul for when the devs do the major build number bumps!

Was this moved too when the SVN RSS feed moved to http://mattchugg.com/kolmafia/svnrss.php? I used it rarely but I found it very useful when needed.
