Bug - Waiting for Info Mall prices not updating from server

Using the current build (r18478), Kolmafia fails to get the current list of mall prices from the server - the log shows something like "0 prices updated from http://kolmafia.us/scripts/updateprices.php?action=getmap".

In addition, if I visit that URL in my browser, somewhere in the middle of the page there seems to be some garbage data like

which might in fact be the reason while Kolmafia fails to parse the list of prices?

We saw something like this before. Part of the fix was to delete the file on the server. It does seem as if KoLmafia or the server script or both is assuming a character set and not checking. If this file is on KoLmafia.us, as I think it is but I'm able to confirm, perhaps setting up the new server is a factor?
