Bug - Fixed Hunt the Wumpus room colored as "possible pit" rather than "safe"

r15993. There's a small issue with Hunt the Wumpus mapping. Namely: the graphical map sometimes colors a room pink ("possible pit") even when the text correctly indicates it should be white ("safe"). At least as far as I've seen, the issue is restricted to pink/pit coloring, not blue/bat coloring.

This is an incredibly minor problem, especially since the text can be trusted and the map ignored. So if it never gets fixed, no skin off my nose. But I figured I should at least report it.

Here's an example. The text correctly indicates that the round chamber is safe, but the map displays a pink room.

Revision 16014 improves our Wumpus cave deductions. Previously, when you visited a room and hear a hazard, we'd mark all of the adjacent rooms as possibly having that hazard. Now, we will also mark all adjacent rooms as definitely not having the hazards you don't hear - and if an unvisited room is known to not have a hazard, we will no longer mark it as possibly having it when we listen to it from a different room.

I also added a "wumpus replay FILE" facility. The file is the part of your session log with the cave exploration. We will process the Encounter: Exits: and Sounds: lines from it and will simulate you clicking through the choices in your browser. At the end of each room, it includes a link (in the gCLI) to the Wumpinator, so you can see what we'd show in the Relay Browser.

I'll leave this open, for now, in case you find other similar issues. I will also go and look at Wumpus Hunter color update and deduction issue and see if, perhaps, I fixed that one too.

I've been waiting for 26 days for the OP to confirm this is fixed. No response, but I was easily able to cause the issue before, and I have been through the wumpus cave many times since then with no problem, so, I'm just going to mark this fixed.

Apologies. Nothing in your previous post suggested to me that you were waiting for me to confirm.

I got my Wardrobe and may never hunt the wumpus again, so I don't know that I'll be able to offer any more information. But I'm sure other users will find this fix helpful. Thanks!

I thought that was a clear indication that I expected you to test to make sure you were happy. In general, setting the status to "Waiting for Information" after posting a revision is our convention that we are expecting the person who posted the bug originally to confirm that it is fixed.

Whatever.
