Free rests question

Hi, I'm currently trying to add the function to automatically use up the free disco rests to my script, but am unable to find any functions on the wiki to accomplish that. I've tried using get_property(timesRested) however that keeps giving me the error message Unknown variable 'timesRested'.
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Putting quotes around it makes it a string instead of a variable.
