Relay Scripts missing in Icons top menu

I'm sure everybody has noticed this, but with the new Icons top menu, the drop down to execute relay scripts (the ones used to show the interface to edit settings for other scripts) is gone. I just want to know if there is any way to have that drop down menu back in the Icons menu, or if from now on we will have to switch to other menus to be able to access those relay scripts.

Sorry if this was answered before elsewhere but I was away when the update hit, and I haven't been able to find if this issue was solved.

tl;dr: There was a complaint about the way the initial support was implemented so it was reverted and a new method will only be implemented after serious consideration. You are invited to make your own suggestions in the thread linked by Darzil.
