Maximizing with "switch familiar" doesn't seem to consider increasing familiar weight

If I run the maximizer with an added "switch familiar" command, it doesn't seem to take the potential of buffing familiar weight into account.
E.g. if I use "meat, switch Leprechaun" without having the Leprechaun already as active familiar, it only suggests straight meat buffing equipment, but doesn't consider increasing familiar weight as an alternative.

If I then run the maximizer a second time after having switched familiars, it realises that equipping an old-school flying disc (familiar weight +5 => in my case meat drop +16.1) is more beneficial than a cup of infinite pencils (meat drop +15).
It also puts a Ghost Pickle in my Buddy Bjorn (another +5 in familiar weight), which it didn't consider the first time around, although that is probably related to this problem as well.

Is this an intentional limitation of the maximizer, or is it actually a bug?

Edit: I probably should add that I'm running r13864.
