It worked a second time so I think whatever was wrong has righted itself.

After screwing up seven times it just suddenly worked properly: when a holiday monster showed up it used a noisemaker then aborted. I should see at least one or two more of them today so we'll see if it decides to keep working.

The ccs didn't rewrite itself when I saved it but it's still not working. It just attacks every round.

I figured out that for whatever reason mafia is converting "item divine noisemaker" to "attack with weapon" when I hit "save". Thus I assume it's a syntax error on my part. How am I supposed to instruct the ccs to use a noisemaker?

The answer to that question is "no". Fortunately I was paying closer attention this time and caught it on the third round.
