Maybe I'm just stupid, but when I get on my account, there is no link to equip custom outfits. Am I doing something wrong, or need to click a certain setting?

I'm not sure what you mean by "link". Assuming you are talking about the Relay Browser:
In vanilla KoL, on the Equipment page (inventory page 2), there is a list of outfits you can switch into. It has three sections, with internal headers: standard outfits, custom outfits, and automatic outfits. KoLmafia splits those into three individual lists. If you don't have Custom outfits, that list will be absent. Ditto for Automatic outfits. I suppose if we didn't recognize the header, we wouldn't separate out the custom outfits - but in that case, they should all be on the normal outfit list/

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I recently noticed that "Previous Outfit" disappeared from mafia. I used to use this a lot when switching between my rollover outfit and my adventuring outfit. Did I miss something?
Previous Outfit was never reliable, since the outfit id changes every time you equip a different outfit. You could have seen a failure by opening the Gear changer and then using a chat command to put on an outfit. Since that used Ajax to put on the outfit, we didn't refresh the outfit id from the equipment page, and an attempt to put on Previous Outfit from the gear changer would fail.
When I added reading custom outfits at login and added recognition of creating new outfits via Ajax, I removed reading the current outfits off of the equipment page.
It turns out, you can switch to your Previous Outfit without having to know the outfit id: "whichoutfit=last" will work. We should add a new dummy outfit with special handling, just like Birthday Suit, for Previous Outfit which would invoke it like that,

I just encountered this problem with r9222 and found a way to reproduce it. As an newly ascended character, only the "Automatic" selector list was showing up in the inventory page of the relay browser. As soon as I obtained the KGE elite guard outfit, the "Outfits" and "Custom" selector lists reappeared. So on a multi, I put enough pieces of all the outfits that occurred in the "Outifts" list in my closet to not have any equippable outfits. The "Outfits" and "Custom" selector lists promptly disappeared leaving only the "Automatic" selector list. Removing an outfit from the closet restored the other 2 selector lists.
Mafia version - r9222 (and earlier, it appears. Not sure how far back.)
OS Version - MacOS X 10.5.4
Browser - Firefox 3.6.13
ETA: This is still categorized as "Waiting for info", but I've supplied a method for reproducing the problem. Are others unable to duplicate this problem? Or what additional information is still needed? I request that that the category be changed back to "Bug".

I can confirm that this is repeatable. I lost my custom outfit drop down until I grabbed an outfit from my DC. Now I can see all of the custom outfits I have created.
Thanks for the help, this was driving me crazy. I thought it had something to do with a setting on my account.
Now I need to figure out what happened to the sort by drop downs.

11488 Outfits and Custom Outfits not showing in relay browser
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but the pulldown menus for outfits and custom outfits are not available in the relay browser, though the single dropdown menu for outfits is available in the vanilla interface. In the relay browser only the automatic menu shows, instead of the three menus I am used to seeing.
A clannie is using the same build (11488) with no problems.
I logged out and back in, reloaded the browser (firefox 15.0.1), and compared with the vanilla interface; I'm not sure what else I can do to try and reproduce the bug.

Those pulldown menus are showing up for me. You aren't the first person I've seen report this, but I can't really look at fixing an issue that isn't showing up for me.

okay, so I malled/autosold a bunch of useless crap before trying to equip the custom outfit. This purge appears to have included all my regular kol outfits (non-custom). I just pulled the harem girl outfit out of the mall, and both dropdowns are back now.
Apparently you need to actually have a kol-recognized outfit in your inventory to get the menus to appear?

I'll also confirm this -- it only happens when you newly ascend until you acquire a "built-in" outfit like the Harem Girl Outfit. Until that point, you can't load custom outfits. Even in the cli, if you try to load an outfit it will get very confused and equip your "old" settings for that outfit.
