A recent survey of clanmates found that not a one of them really knew what "improve handling of semi-random lag spikes" did. Upon some explanation, many were shocked and went to turn it off.

Should this feature default to off? My personal feeling is that it can do more harm than good.

I have always considered it harmful. I want TCP to retransmit as needed. In my experience, requests eventually always complete.
